We had a GREAT turnout, 40 people came to cheer on the 15 brave enough to try spelling. It was so much fun and we let them buy their way back in, making donations to the Friends of alt+library in order to get the chance to ask a friend for help. Definitely recommend trying this program.

This is a great idea! Did you guys have a good turnout? I work at Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library and have been thinking about doing an adult spelling bee at my library. I saw your session for alt library at PLA and loved it. Keep up the awesome work!

Since it is a GLBT storytime and egg hunt, the titles selected are as follows: The Sissy Duckling by Harvey Fierstein, Chickens Aren’t the Only Ones by Ruth Heller, And Tango Makes Three by Justin Richardson & Peter Parnell, and The Most Wonderful Egg In the World by Helme Heine. We definitely hope to see you there!

I have to say Punk Yoga: Survive the Holidaze was a real treat and I’m excited for Broke A$$ Holidays. Escaping the holiday craziness with style at my local library seems to be the way to go this year!
