We have art in order not to die of the truth. – Friedrich Nietzsche

No Pictures PleaseWe have another Bad Art Night coming up in September. The Museum of Bad Art, located in Boston, has nothing on our creators. We provide the supplies, you provide the “talent”. Don’t worry, my niece (seen pictured) won’t be a judge.

In other art news, we are currently reading Tales From Outer Suburbia by author and illustrator Shaun Tan. This collection of illustrated short stories is described as surreal and whimsical – something of a departure from our often grim and gory reading list. Crooked Little Vein, anyone? Just a pleasurably light and bizarre summer read. And stay tuned – we are planning grand adventures for the fall.

  1. I would love to know more about how you organize and put on your Bad Art Nights! I am a big fan of the Museum of Bad Art so this sounds like a library even that’s right up my alley…
