As you may have noticed, May is here and the sunshine seems to indicate springtime has finally arrived as well. We’re starting our May Craft Cafes in library branches and this month’s craft is quilling. Quilling is an art form that uses strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued to create designs. Lately the paper artist Yulia Brodskaya has been surfacing in an odd synchronicity with the quilling research we’ve done. Look her up, her work is fascinating. Posted below are some examples of our own quilling efforts; check out http://meetup.com/altlibrary to see when and where we’ll be offering this program!
