So, our altlibrary endeavor is all about taking book clubs to spaces that suit the reader.  Hipster (ish) literature discussed in coffee shops and bars–a natural fit, or that’s the idea anyway.  Why not take it a step further, and choose furniture to suit the book you’re reading.  Jimmy Chen at HTMLGIANT offers a “Book Lover’s Guide to IKEA seating“–funny stuff. 

Personally, I think the SMEDSTA Swivel Chair is perfect for Spook Country by William Gibson–the design references the desk/computer chair, and the arms look just uncomfortable enough.  Spook Country will just not let you sink in, you’ve always got that one elbow on cold metal–the literary equivalent of needing to stop and google things like Douk-Douk knives just when you’re getting into the plot.
